Career Biography

Jill Fisher is Co-Chair of the Employment Law Practice Group at Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy P.C. She specializes in employment law and human resources management and support for both large and small companies. Prior to joining Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy P.C., Ms. Fisher headed her own practice specializing in the full spectrum of employment law and human resources management. Before that, she was a shareholder in a Philadelphia law firm where she litigated a broad range of employment-related issues, such as sexual harassment, religious discrimination, race discrimination, disability discrimination, and pregnancy discrimination in both state and federal court and at the agency level.

In addition to litigation, and relying on years of practical experience, Ms. Fisher helps employers find creative solutions to day-to-day challenges and delicate situations that arise in the workplace. Ms. Fisher advises, educates, and trains business owners and management in the areas of harassment, discrimination and other employment-related issues, including wage and payment issues, family and medical leave, and employee discipline and discharge. The goal of providing on-going customized training seminars for managers is to educate them about the various employment laws that affect the workplace and help them develop and improve their managerial and leadership skills to foster a more respectful workplace environment.

Ms. Fisher has drafted numerous employee handbooks, employment agreements and personnel policies, all for a wide range of industries. She has conducted seminars for various trade associations and seminar companies. She has authored articles on diverse topics, including privacy in the workplace and the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Ms. Fisher graduated from Widener University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey.
