Career Biography

Ms. Henry is an associate in Zarwin Baum's commercial litigation and business practice groups.  Beginning with the firm in 2007, Ms. Henry focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, including employment, construction, corporate, banking, real estate and consumer rights matters for plaintiffs and defendants.  She has successfully litigated cases in arbitration and federal and state court, in both the trial and appellate levels.  Ms. Henry also represents banks and private and public investors in commercial real estate transactions and represents businesses and employees in preparing employment and shareholder agreements and entity formation documents. 

 Prior to entering law school, Ms. Henry was the Senior Editor of national finance and pharmaceutical magazines, writing and editing personal finance columns from 2002 through 2005. 

While studying at Villanova University School of Law, Ms. Henry clerked for the Honorable Seamus McCaffery in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.  She co-founded and chaired Villanova's Child Advocacy Law Association. 

Ms. Henry actively volunteers as a child's advocate with the Support Center for Child Advocates and represents indigent Philadelphia clients through VIP Philly.

Representative Matters

Closed multi-million dollar mixed finance commercial real estate transaction funding public housing development on behalf of a public entity, preparing loan documents and facilitating closing.


Won the dismissal of First Amendment and premises liability claims against a municipality and its employees in federal and state courts, preparing and arguing dispositive briefs.

 
Secured favorable settlement against employer on behalf of school teachers in whistleblower claim of wrongful termination.

 
On behalf of a federal credit union and its board members, secured the favorable settlement of a claim raised by dissenting shareholders seeking the injunction of a proposed merger.

 
Secured favorable settlement for homeowners in residential mortgage foreclosure action through the Philadelphia mortgage diversion program, allowing clients to keep their home and reinstate their mortgage's original terms.
