Zarwin Attorney, Paul M. Schmidt, to Lecture on Environmental Issues in Real Estate

On September 21, 2008, Paul M. Schmidt, Co-chair of the Environmental Practice Group at Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy will lead a panel presentation entitled "If Only You Knew - Addressing Environmental Issues Arising in Real Estate Transactions and Development," at the Philadelphia Bench-Bar and Annual Conference held at Bally's Atlantic City.  Mr. Schmidt will advise participants on how to identify and resolve some of the more common environmental issues encountered in real estate projects.

Paul has over 15 years of experience as an environmental attorney, and is a former lawyer for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the Natural Resources Section of the Colorado Attorney General's Office.  He provides environmental legal services to a wide range of clients in Pennsylvania , New Jersey and the surrounding area, including real estate developers, industrial and manufacturing clients, municipalities, lenders, insurance carriers, individuals and non-profit groups.  He advises clients on a wide range of environmental permitting and compliance issues, and has litigated cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, the Superior Court of New Jersey, and the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board.
