Zarwin Baum Raises $45,000 for Philabundance’s Fare & Square at 12th Annual Zarwin Baum March Madness; Tops $100,000 mark with Annual Fundraising Event

March 20, 2014

On Thursday, March 20, as basketball enthusiasts poured over their NCAA March Madness brackets, Philadelphia firm Zarwin Baum and over 2000 guests took part in the tournament by raising $45,000 and collecting 1500 pounds of food for Philabundance at the 12th Annual Zarwin Baum March Madness. As Philabundance celebrates their 30th Anniversary, this year’s Zarwin Baum March Madness event topped last year’s efforts by $5,000!

Philadelphia Eagles Brent Celek and Todd Herremans, 610 WIP host and former Philadelphia Eagle, Mike Quick; Former Philadelphia Eagle Darwin Walker; District Attorney Seth Williams; Councilwoman At-Large Blondell Reynolds Brown; Councilwoman Cindy Bass; Councilman David Oh; State Senator Larry Farnese; FOX29's Chris Murphy; Comcast Sportsnet reporter Marshall Harris; Marisa Magnatta, producer for WMMR’s Preston & Steve, and a host of Zarwin Baum clients and invited guests networked and supported Philabundance, while enjoying nine (9) full hours of the NCAA tournament on large projection screens at the Crystal Tea Room.

The annual Zarwin Baum March Madness has grown to be one of the largest networking events in the city of Philadelphia; and a truly one-of-a-kind event to raise funds for Philabundance, the region’s largest hunger relief organization fighting hunger and malnutrition in the Delaware Valley.

This year’s March Madness event went specifically to support Philabundance’s Fare & Square in the city of Chester, PA. Based on a nonprofit grocery store model, “good food right around the corner,” Fare & Square has given Chester residents access to nutritious food essentials such as fresh produce, meats, dairy, seafood, and frozen foods - which have never been available to these residents in a full scale grocery store before. With this year’s event, Zarwin Baum has raised over $100,000 for the organization.
