AhnLab and CyberSoft sign teaming agreement at new Zarwin Baum offices

November 12, 2009

On Thursday, November 12, 2009, David Oh hosted a reception for South Korean cyber security giant, AhnLab, and CyberSoft Operating Corporation at Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy, PC.'s new offices in Center City Philadelpiha. The guests included AhnLab CEO Philip Kim, CyberSoft CEO Peter Radatti, State Senator Anthony Williams, Temple University Dean of Science and Technology Hai-lung Dai, and Korea’s Honorary Consul General Harris Baum.  Approximately fifty guests attended, representing VIP’s from the high-tech, manufacturing, insurance and professional services sectors.

The two companies entered into a teaming agreement which will allow both companies to expand their markets for computer-security solutions.  Internet security is an ever growing problem.  Internet viruses and other malware result in approximately $67 billion damages a year on a global basis.  Cybersoft has been a U.S. leader in security for non-Microsoft operating systems like Unix and Linux.  AhnLab’s specialty includes security for all Microsoft systems. This teaming agreement marks AhnLab’s entry into the North American market. The teaming agreement between the two companies provides customers with solutions for all computers – a form of one-stop shopping for computer security. This should prove to be especially useful for large, complex organizations like governments, universities and transnational corporations whose computer operations are a patchwork of different systems in different departments serving different needs. Cybersoft expects that this teaming agreement will allow it to provide the service customers need at a much more affordable cost thereby reducing costs and saving jobs.
