16 Greater Philadelphia Companies Face-off at Philalympics Benefting the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House

August 5, 2015

WHAT: Fun and philanthropic companies from across the Philadelphia region join Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy, P.C. and The Fun Department for the 3rd annual Philalympics, benefitting Philadelphia’s Ronald McDonald House (PRMH). Thirteen, 15-member teams will push their bodies, minds and Philadelphia pride to the limit as they battle for the coveted title of ‘Philadelphia’s Phunnest Company.’ With some light-hearted ‘trash-talking’ to kick things off, the competition offers a chance for companies to let loose while making connections and benefitting a celebrated charitable organization.

From The Fun Department’s Adult-Tricycle Races at the Ballpark to the ‘Pretzels and Cheesesteaks’ Foam Finger Relay, the friendly competition consists of a series of challenges designed to maximize team building, and networking, while raising money for a great cause. Other exciting activities will include The Philly Skyline Inflatable Tower Build, Team Philly Themed Trivia Challenges, “Yo Adrian” Boxing Gloves Tug of War, Famous Philadelphians Challenge, and 4, 5, 6 Legged Eagle End-zone Race.

WHO: Participating teams include: Aberdeen Asset Management, AnnieMac Home Mortgage, Brownstone PR, CardConnect, Conestoga Bank, Kicks USA, PCS LLC, Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, SEER Interactive, The Fun Dept./The HUB, Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy, P.C., and reigning champions, Capital One 360.

WHY: All money raised from Philalympics will benefit Philadelphia’s Ronald McDonald House, which has been supporting the families of seriously ill children since 1974. The Ronald McDonald House relies on individual and corporate donations for over 90 percent of their funding. No one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay. To date, Philalympics has raised $50,000 for PRMH.
