Zarwin Baum Welcomes Attorney J. Fred Lorusso to its Philadelphia Office

Zarwin Baum continues the growth of its casualty and professional liability defense practice area, welcoming experienced trial attorney J. Fred Lorusso as a shareholder in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Lorusso will focus his practice on casualty defense litigation including premises, liquor liability, construction, transportation and product liability matters.
Prior to joining Zarwin Baum, Lorusso spent more than six years working for a Mid-Atlantic regional insurance defense law firm, engaged in a civil litigation and trial practice.
Among his list of achievements, Lorusso, in 2008, was named a “Rising Star” by Law & Politics Pennsylvania Super Lawyers magazine, recognizing him among the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in Pennsylvania, 40 years of age or younger. In 2011, Lorusso was selected to participate in the National Trial Academy sponsored by the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) of the American Bar Association and the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Committed to giving back and impacting his community, Lorusso has provided Philadelphia VIP with pro bono representation, assisting low income clients with critical legal needs. In 2011, he received the “Pro Bono Roll of Honor” award from the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania.
Lorusso graduated from Boston College in 1999, and received his Juris Doctorate from the Temple University Beasley School of Law, in 2003. He is admitted to practice law in the Pennsylvania State Court, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for Middle District of Pennsylvania.
