December 7, 2016
WHAT: Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy, P.C. continues its cyber-focused breakfast seminar series with “Cyber Threats and Vulnerabilities: How Exposed Are You?”
Led by a panel of industry experts, the seminar will cover the following:
• Major sources of cyber threats including hacktivism, extortion and political attacks.
• Differences and effectiveness of current hacking techniques like phishing, impersonation and business email compromise.
• Organizational vulnerabilities, including technical system failures and employee and vendor errors.
• An overview of best practices to mitigate against organizational threats.
WHY: According to a recent report from Accenture, roughly one in three targeted attacks on a company results in an actual security breach. The report noted that delayed detection of these security breaches often adds to the problem, as more than half of executives claimed it takes months to detect sophisticated breaches. “Cyber Threats and Vulnerabilities: How Exposed Are You?” will ensure attendees are not only aware of the risks they face, but are best prepared to handle any security issues that may arise.
