The Zarwin, Baum, DeVito, Kaplan, Schaer, & Toddy employment law practice group specializes in the ever changing landscape of employment law and provides a full spectrum of services in the areas of human resources support, employee relations, regulatory compliance and litigation.

The group is experienced in working with business owners and management to help prevent employment law disputes through day-to-day advice, education and training on a variety of topics, including a full range of immigration services, harassment and discrimination, wage and hour issues, family and medical leave, and discipline and termination. This dedicated team offers a comprehensive approach to finding creative solutions to sensitive issues that may arise in the workplace.

While the goal of the group is to minimize employers' exposure to costly and time-consuming litigation, our skilled trial attorneys have extensive experience litigating a broad range of employment law matters in state and federal courts and before administrative bodies, including claims under state and federal civil rights statutes such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, The Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, wage and hour laws and workers compensation. The group also has broad experience litigating restrictive covenant, non-compete and theft of trade secret claims, as well as TRO's and preliminary injunction matters.

The attorneys in the group have drafted numerous employee handbooks, employment and severance agreements, and personnel forms covering a wide variety of industries for both large and small companies, in the private and public sector. To further assist employers and managers, the team offers management seminars and training covering such topics as mandatory anti-harassment training, new manager training, effective communication for managers, and common pitfalls for managers to avoid.
