Susan R. Schrank, Esquire

Susan R. Schrank, Esq. joined Zarwin in 2024 after many years in civil litigation. She has served as in-house Staff Counsel for one of the nation’s largest insurance carriers, litigating on behalf of the company and providing legal representation for its insureds. Susan has also handled medical malpractice cases and class action suits related to pharmaceutical products and vehicle emissions. Prior to returning to defense work, she was a member of one of Northern New Jersey’s largest plaintiff’s firms, and this unique insight has proved instrumental in facilitating expeditious negotiations on behalf of her clients and carriers.

Susan has been licensed to practice law in New Jersey since 2014 and was admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 2024 and United States Court of Appeals, Third Circuit in 2025. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School where she served as the fulltime assistant to the then-president of the American Civil Liberties Union. She is a member of several bar associations and was a panelist/speaker during New Jersey’s Association for Justice’s Winter Seminar Conference in Somerset, NJ.

Susan lives in northwestern New Jersey with her husband, stepson, and two spoiled rescue cats. She is an avid camper, traveler, and boater. She primarily docks on Lake Hopatcong and is a member of the Garden State Yacht Club, aspiring to complete the “Great Loop,” someday.
