Representative Matters
Premises Liability
Serious Injury, Philadelphia, PA
Plaintiff alleged significant injuries requiring extensive future medical care, including knee replacements and additional surgical intervention, and further claimed an aggravation of pre‑existing conditions arising from an alleged trip‑and‑fall on the sidewalk of Defendant’s premises. Plaintiff was an elderly individual with a longstanding litigation history and multiple pre‑existing medical conditions. Through a comprehensive analysis of discovery, medical records, and Plaintiff’s deposition testimony, Chase developed a strong evidentiary record demonstrating Plaintiff’s inability to establish a causal nexus between the alleged incident and the claimed injuries. Despite Plaintiff’s pre‑mediation and mediation demand of $750,000.00, Chase leveraged targeted discovery, strategic motions practice, and effective advocacy to secure a settlement on highly favorable terms for a nominal amount.
