Jason Powell is a shareholder in Zarwin Baum’s Commercial Litigation and Business Practice Groups. Jason focuses on complex commercial litigation and construction law matters. He represents owners, contractors, and subcontractors on both public and private projects across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as clients involved in a variety of business disputes. His work spans a wide range of commercial and construction-related issues, including contract disputes, payment claims, defect and delay claims, bidding challenges, indemnification and insurance issues, mechanics’ liens, partnership disputes, and business torts.
Jason is experienced in all phases of litigation, including trials, mediation, arbitration, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiation, and appeals. This includes both federal and state trials involving various contract and business tort claims. He actively works with his clients in business planning, contract negotiation, project consulting, risk management, litigation, and dispute resolution.
Jason has represented clients before various courts, including the Pennsylvania Courts of Common Pleas, the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, he U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He has also represented clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association and before administrative agencies, including matters before the Pennsylvania Board of Claims.
