Career Biography

Anya Morrison Davis joined Zarwin Baum in the summer of 2013 following her second year of law school. After taking the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Exams, Anya has focused on corporate and business matters including mergers and acquisitions, commercial and real estate transactions, estate planning and administration, as well as environmental and general civil litigation.
Prior to earning her Juris Doctorate at Villanova University School of Law, Anya worked in HIPAA compliance and for a creditors' rights firm, where she handled loss mitigation and title claim matters. While attending law school, Anya was a member of both the Corporate Law and Tax Law Societies. Anya is currently pursuing an LL.M. degree in Taxation from Villanova University's interdisciplinary Graduate Tax Program.
Anya graduated Gettysburg College, cum laude, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Japanese Studies. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society and Pi Lambda Sigma National Honor Society. 

Representative Matters

Represented the developer of numerous specialty single tenant buildings in financing the construction of these projects throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Represented the lender in financing the acquisition of land to be developed into an over-55 condominium townhouse community. 

Represented the co-joint venture owner and manager of a large residential complex in suburban Philadelphia in a $30+ million recapitalizing and refinancing of the project.

Represented lender in the $13 million refinancing of two hotels in suburban Philadelphia and New Jersey.

Represented the lender in a multiple borrower multi loan financing of a series of New Jersey manufacturing and storage facilities.

Represented the seller in the sale of a multi-unit residential property.

Represented the owner of a multi-unit suburban Philadelphia apartment and commercial building in a $9 million refinancing. 

Assisted a Philadelphia behavioral health care services provider in settling a federal tax lien with the IRS. As a result, the IRS agreed to forgive $165,000 in past due taxes and penalties, allowing the organization to continue to provide mental health and drug and alcohol counseling services to clients throughout the City.
Assisted in the representation of a purchaser in its acquisition of a Philadelphia restaurant business.
Represented a real estate investment group in a series of equity investments for projects throughout the Pennsylvania and New Jersey region.
Represented a real estate investment group in a private equity offering for investment in the acquisition and development of five residential apartment buildings.
Represented a national healthcare company in a series of acquisitions of mobile diagnostic providers in Pennsylvania, South Carolina and West Virginia.
Represented the lender in a multi-million dollar, multiple-borrower refinancing of various properties in New Castle County, Delaware.
Closed a $389 Million Bond financing for the PA Turnpike Commission to fund roads, bridges and mass transit throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Represented a Pennsylvania based producer of athletic hydration, visibility and performance gear, in its sale to a global sports performance and protective products company based in Minnesota and California.
