Career Biography

Gregory M. Mallon, Jr. is a member of the Firm’s Casualty and Professional Liability Practice Group. Greg concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation defense, primarily defending our clients in matters involving transportation, liquor liability, construction, products liability and premises liability matters, many of which are significant damage claims. He has devoted his entire legal career to defense litigation and thus has gained substantial experience in multiple practice areas and jurisdictions.  Greg is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey.  Greg’s devotion to the practice of law commenced at an early age as he comes from a family of lawyers; his father is a Common Pleas Court Judge in Delaware County, Pennsylvania and his mother is a family practice attorney.

Greg earned his Juris Doctorate at the Temple University School of Law in May of 2011. During law school, Greg earned numerous distinguished class performance awards while studying in Temple's Trial Advocacy Program. Also during law school, Greg clerked for the Honorable Stephen J. McEwen of the Pennsylvania Superior Court.

Greg earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University. While at Penn State, Greg spent a semester abroad in Seville, Spain

Representative Matters

Acting as local counsel for numerous large product manufacturers in product liability claims.

Successfully had numerous claims against large product manufacturer transferred from Philadelphia County to Berks County through preliminary objections.

Successfully defended for over two years a large, grocery store chain wherein Greg secured numerous favorable arbitration awards, dismissals, or favorable settlements involving various kinds of premises liability cases.

Secured a favorable settlement (less than 7% of the initial demand) on behalf of a hardware store where Plaintiff alleged she slipped and fell on an improperly shoveled sidewalk. 

Secured a favorable settlement on behalf of a construction company where Plaintiff alleged permanent pain and suffering due to the development of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) .

Secured a favorable settlement on behalf of demolition company for less than 2% of the entire settlement after successfully demonstrating that Plaintiff's claim would be barred by the Workers' Compensation Act after determining that his client had appropriate workers' compensation coverage.

Secured favorable settlement in a traumatic roofing accident following the granting of a Motion on Choice of Law wherein the Court determined Maryland Law applied rather than Pennsylvania Law.
