Peter Greiner is a trial lawyer who is at home in the courtroom, no matter the subject matter. Pete developed his craft as a litigator in the largest state prosecutor’s office in the country and has applied those skills to many areas of the law around the country. In catastrophic personal injury matters, Pete has fought on both sides, whether it was helping to lead the defense in the historic Salvation Army Building Collapse or winning an historic victory for the family of a newborn infant in Lancaster County who died as a result of medical malpractice. Pete has also helped numerous clients in commercial matters recover damages for their losses in cases from shareholder oppression to non-compete battles.
As a partner in Zarwin Baum’s personal injury and commercial litigation practices, Pete Greiner focuses his practice on matters involving professional malpractice, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, civil rights violations, dram shop, product liability, and other matters. Pete also represents clients in complex commercial litigation, including past matters involving healthcare fraud, shareholder disputes, as well as non-compete agreements and restrictive covenants.
Over the course of his career, Pete has obtained millions of dollars in jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of individuals who were injured or killed and has successfully defended individuals and corporations in complex litigation matters. Most recently, Pete won a $4 million jury verdict in a medical malpractice case in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania on behalf of the mother of a 1-month old child who died from whooping cough. That verdict is believed to be the largest medical malpractice death verdict in Lancaster County’s history. Pete also served as co-lead counsel for one of the defendants in the Salvation Army Building Collapse case, which culminated in a five-month long trial in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Additionally, Pete, who served as an Assistant District Attorney for the City of Philadelphia for five years, has successfully defended numerous clients facing serious state and criminal charges.
Peter graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in Political Science in 1995 and earned his law degree at the Villanova University School of Law in 1998.
