Laura Nicolette

Laura Nicolette is an attorney in Zarwin Baum’s Casualty & Professional Liability Defense Practice Group. She focuses her practice on motor vehicle and premise actions, criminal defense, and civil county defense work.

Prior to her joining Zarwin Baum in 2020, Laura co-authored a brief before New Jersey’s Appellate Division which ultimately reversed a contempt conviction (State v. A.D., Docket No. A-0394-18T2, August 13, 2019).  She also assisted in the research of an amicus brief before the New Jersey Supreme Court regarding the right to privacy in cell phone location (State v. Earls, 214 N.J. 564).

Laura began her legal career as Law Clerk to the Honorable Joseph P. Donohue, J.S.C., in Union County.  Following her clerkship, Laura remained an active member of the Union County Bar Association and from 2017-2019, Laura served as the County’s Young Lawyer Trustee.  In 2019, Laura was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve on the District XII Ethics Committee.  In 2020, she was selected to New Jersey’s Rising Stars.

When Laura is not working, she enjoys spending time with her niece and nephews, discovering new breweries with friends, and watching/attending WWE events with her husband.
