Career Biography

As a member of the Zarwin Baum insurance defense litigation group, Mike Dankanich handles a variety of matters including premises liability, professional malpractice, construction and products liability, and professional liability in construction matters, including architects and engineers. Mike has extensive trial practice in the courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This includes approximately 20 jury trials and numerous bench trials, arbitrations and mediations.

Mike graduated from Temple University School of Law where he served as a research editor at the Law Review and authored several articles on litigation intervention and right of assembly/freedom of speech in public places.


Representative Matters

Secured dismissal by way of summary judgment of all claims against client engineering firm with regard to bid cost over-runs by general contractor amounting to several million dollars allegedly due to unexpected job site conditions regarding construction of marina.

Settled on favorable terms lawsuit brought by commercial cleaning plant brought against manufacturer of boiler heat recycling product allegedly involved in causing fire and resulting in damages in excess of $1 million.

Settled on favorable terms lawsuit brought by Estate of young single mother of infant child alleging DRAM shop claims against client bar.

Settled on favorable terms lawsuit brought by individual claiming complete disability as a result of explosion of client’s anti-freeze recycling tank at plaintiff’s place of employment.
