Philadelphia Eagles Players Trade Footballs for Fashion at Zarwin Baum’s ‘Fashion Touchdown’ for Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA

September 21, 2015

Joined by Philadelphia Eagles players including long snapper Jon Dorenbos, linebacker Brandon Graham, free safety Malcolm Jenkins, placekicker Cody Parkey, defensive lineman Cedric Thornton, and quarterback Mark Sanchez, Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy. P.C. will host the 2nd Annual Fashion Touchdown on Monday, September 21. Trading footballs for fashion, the players will participate in the fundraiser and fashion show at Vie (600 N. Broad St) benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA (BBBSSEPA).

Kicking off with a VIP Reception at 5:30pm, the main event will begin at 6pm as players and their wives, Carlyne Graham, Morrisa Jenkins, Colleen Rick and Shakacia Thornton, strut the catwalk to beats by DJ Eddie Tully. Doing double duty, Fox29 Good Day Philadelphia co-anchors Mike Jerrick and Alex Holley will serve as both event emcees and models. Donning hairstyles dreamed up by Jason Matthew Salon, the players, wives, and media personalities will showcase fashionable looks by INTERMIX and Robbini Bespoke, along with bow-ties and pocket squares from Jenkins’ line, Rock Avenue Bow Ties, and shoes from local men's shoe retailer; ToBox.

Guests will enjoy cocktails and lite bites throughout the evening, while also browsing the pop-up shops from INTERMIX, Robbini Bespoke, Rock Avenue, ToBox, and The Divine Lorraine Hotel Collection.

Fashion Touchdown, which raised $45,000 in its first year, is one of many outside-the-box events Zarwin Baum hosts to raise money for organizations across the region. “Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA is an organization that continues to make a tangible impact in our region,” said Mitchell Kaplan, managing shareholder of Zarwin Baum. ‘As they celebrate 100 years of outreach, it’s the perfect opportunity to express Zarwin Baum’s support for their mentorship of Philadelphia’s young people.’

Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA is a donor-supported organization that enriches, encourages and empowers children to reach their highest potential through more than 3,000 safe, one-to-one mentoring relationships in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties annually. "We are very fortunate to have partners such as Zarwin Baum who invest resources and think of creative ways to raise money in support of our mission to provide children with compassionate and caring mentors," said Marcus Allen, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA. "We have some new players walking in the show this year and are excited to have the Eagles take time during their season to help us raise critical funds. Our hope is to have this event become the premier fashion show in the Philadelphia area."

Funds from this year’s event will support adding a BBBSSEPA school-based mentoring program at Ben Franklin High School in Philadelphia. Additional event support is provided by EB Realty Management Corporation (EBRM), Procida Funding and Advisors, and Washington Square Realty Capital, LLC.

Tickets for ‘Fashion Touchdown’ can be purchased here at $100 for General Admission and $175 for VIP.
