Gregory M. Mallon, Jr.

Gregory M. Mallon, Jr. is a shareholder and member of the Firm’s Casualty and Professional Liability Practice Group. Greg concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation defense, primarily defending our clients in matters involving liquor liability (e.g. dram shop, social host, fraternities), transportation, construction, products liability and premises liability matters, many of which are significant damage claims. He has devoted his entire legal career to defense litigation and thus has gained substantial experience in multiple practice areas and jurisdictions.

Greg is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey.  Greg’s devotion to the practice of law commenced at an early age as he comes from a family of lawyers; his father is a Common Pleas Court Judge in Delaware County, Pennsylvania and his mother is a family attorney.

Greg prides himself in being able to assess potential strengths and weaknesses in cases very early on allowing him to fully advise his clients as to how they can best limit risk and expense. He has sat first and second chair in multiple trials and arbitrations with great success. His skills and experience have led his peers to nominate him as Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star on numerous occasions. He has also been asked to lecture for numerous continuing legal education courses and has lectured at the University of Maryland (Baltimore Campus) School of Law.

Greg resides in Media, PA with his wife, his three children, and their dog. When not practicing law, Greg is active in his community as a little league coach and sits on the board of The Community Foundation.

Ted Schaer and Greg Mallon recently obtained a favorable verdict in Philadelphia's Court of Common Pleas; a verdict that was 95% less than the last demand. Their success was covered in the local legal newspaper which can be seen here.

Zarwin Baum Secures Summary Judgment in Favor of Ride Share Driver

Greg Mallon of Zarwin's Casualty and Excess Group recently obtained summary judgment in Essex County, New Jersey. The case involved an independent contractor ride share driver whose passenger was injured after stepping into a pothole causing her to break her leg as she was about to enter the vehicle.
